Como Gerente de Capacitaci\u00f3n y Seguridad de Sistemas, Chelsea es parte del proceso de incorporaci\u00f3n de empleados y mantiene relaciones cercanas con cada miembro de su personal. A principios de marzo, los empleados del Centro M\u00e9dico de la UC no sab\u00edan lo que les deparaba el COVID-19 y se mantuvieron cautelosos mientras se apoyaban unos a otros. Chelsea explica que la pandemia tambi\u00e9n la ejerci\u00f3 a ella.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cLa inc\u00f3gnita es lo que m\u00e1s nos golpea. Odio no saber la respuesta a una pregunta, y cuando mis trabajadores de EVS vienen a m\u00ed con preguntas sobre COVID, al principio no pude responderlas. Eso fue realmente dif\u00edcil para m\u00ed\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Si bien el miedo todav\u00eda estaba presente entre el personal del EVS, sab\u00edan que estaban preparados para la pandemia con el apoyo mutuo, los administradores del hospital y la comunidad. UC Medical Center recibi\u00f3 donaciones de alimentos de varias empresas de la zona, suministrando comidas para todos los empleados. El gran apoyo de la comunidad junto con otra capa de protecci\u00f3n llamada sistema Surfacide UV-C dio a los trabajadores de EVS m\u00e1s confianza al ir a trabajar. UC Medical Center utiliza principalmente el sistema Surfacide UV-C durante el segundo turno para descontaminar superficies en salas de aislamiento. \u201cSeguro que llaman la atenci\u00f3n. M\u00e1quinas de 77 pulgadas de alto iluminan la habitaci\u00f3n.
