Surfacide today announced its partnership with The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization of employers and other purchasers focused on health care safety. Surfacide is represented by Gunner Lyslo, founder and CEO, who sits on the Leapfrog Partners Advisory Committee.

Based in Washington, DC, The Leapfrog Group was founded in 2000 with the goal of improving American health care by transparently reporting information people need on medical errors, accidents, and infections. Leapfrog sets standards and publishes ratings of hospitals and ASCs on quality of care and serves as the foremost voice for business leaders advancing excellence in health care. Leapfrog partners advise the Leapfrog Board and management on industry and policy trends and help shape the organization’s long term strategic vision for improving health care quality. The Partners Advisory Committee is a platform for the creation, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that advance the Leapfrog mission for patient safety and promote a shared accountability for patient safety and well-being.

“At Surfacide, our mission is to provide innovative, evidence-based infection prevention and environmental disinfection solutions that prioritize patient safety, quality and transparency,” said Gunner Lyslo, Founder and CEO of Surfacide. “It was an obvious choice for us to join Leapfrog’s Partners Advisory Committee, which will allow us to continue to align with key opinion leaders at Leapfrog who are so deeply committed to advancing patient safety and care.”

“We are proud to join with Surfacide to improve patient safety in the United States. We need their insights and expertise more than ever. Every American deserves the highest quality care, and together with Surfacide we can achieve our shared vision for excellence,” said Leah Binder, Leapfrog president & CEO.
